East Lothian - Scotland’s Golf Coast

Golfers come from all over the world to visit East Lothian, home to some of the greatest links courses anywhere in the world. Gullane Golf Club itself, just a minute’s walk away, is host to 3 courses and world-famous Muirfield is at the other end of the village. North Berwick with its two fine courses is only ten minutes away. There are 21 golf courses in all on ‘Scotland’s Golf Coast’ - none more than 30 minutes drive away.

  • Gullane 1

    The most prestigious of the Gullane courses. Gullane 1 has hosted the Scottish Open twice in recent years.

  • Gullane 2

    Many locals’ favourite - number 2 covers similar ground to number 1 but is a little shorter and easier to walk

  • Gullane 3

    The shortest of the three courses at Gullane is great fun but still a test with small greens and good design.

  • Muirfield

    Host to The Open and one of the very best links courses in the world. It’s a stern test on a wonderful links

  • West Links - North Berwick

    Playing along the water, if you are looking for fun and history on the golf course, North Berwick won’t disappoint.

  • The Glen

    The Glen lies at the east end of North Berwick. More clifftop than links, it’s a lovely place for some relaxed

  • Dunbar

    Dunbar is a wonderful ‘true links’ course - it’s been called the Pebble Beach of Scotland! Wonderful views, a stern but playable test

  • Luffness

    Sitting just outside Gullane, Luffness is an old school club which now welcomes visitors. Always in great condition and a nice course

  • Kilspindie

    Just before Aberlady, lying on the Firth of Forth is Kilspindie. Holiday golf which won’t take you all day to play!

  • The Renaissance

    Uber private course, host to the Scottish Open of late. It’s a modern day links from Tom Doak which will challenge all golfers.

  • Archerfield - Fidra

    Tree lined for 12 holes and then a more open feel. The facilities at Archerfield are great and the course is an enjoyable course too.

  • Archerfield - Dirleton

    The inland course at Archerfield is the sterner test of the two courses. Conditioning is always fantastic and nice relaxed vibe.

  • Longniddry

    Longniddry flies under the radar but is well worth a visit. There’s a parkland feel but the ground runs fast and some interesting holes.

  • Musselburgh Links

    Home to six Open Championships, the nine hole old course is a throwback to a bygone era. Take some hickories and have fun!
